The Haunted Hound Hunt – Halloween 2026 - A Spooky Sunday with Wembley Dog Community

On Sunday, 25th October, we celebrated Halloween with our lovely Wembley Dog Community at Fryent Country Park! It was a wonderful morning filled with fun, costumes, treats and plenty of wagging tails.
We started the morning with The Haunted Hound Hunt, a Halloween mystery challenge I created especially for our community.
Dogs and their owners followed clues hidden around the woods, solved riddles and collected five stickers to reveal a secret word: TRUST.
The story had a special meaning behind it. Trust is one of the most important parts of our relationship with dogs. It can take time to build, but it can also be lost very easily. Through this little Halloween adventure, I wanted to share a reminder of how important kindness, patience and understanding are when building a strong relationship with our dogs.
Everyone did brilliantly! Once they solved the mystery, they returned with their completed detective cards and collected their Halloween prize bags. 🎁
Afterwards, we enjoyed some treats, lovely conversations and a group photo. Our Halloween photo corner was also a popular spot, with lots of wonderful pictures taken throughout the morning!
Our Halloween Costume Winners 🏆
We also had a Best Halloween Costume competition, and the winners were:

🥇 1st Place – Luka, dressed as a police officer! 👮

🥈 2nd Place – Rufus, our little Dracula bat! 🦇

🥉 3rd Place – Poppy, dressed as a Demogorgon! 👹
Congratulations to all three winners, and thank you to everyone who dressed up their dogs!
