On Sunday morning, 24th May, we welcomed five lovely puppies and their owners to our Puppy Meetup in Wembley Park — and what a wonderful morning it was!
As the weather is already starting to get warmer, we kept the meetup a little shorter to ensure all puppies stayed comfortable and enjoyed themselves safely.
One of the highlights of the morning was having one of Viktoria’s (our local dog trainer) client dog join us (who is 2 yrs old), helping to provide the puppies with some positive experiences around older and bigger dogs in a calm and controlled way. Experiences like these can be so valuable during puppyhood and help build confidence for the future.
Viktoria, also brought along her children to the meetup, allowing the puppies to have calm and positive experiences around children in a safe environment. Positive exposure to different people, dogs, sounds, and environments during puppyhood is incredibly important — but just as important is how those experiences happen.
"Early socialisation is not simply about meeting as many things as possible. It’s about creating positive, calm, and safe experiences that help puppies build confidence and feel comfortable in the world around them. Calm dogs and calm children can provide wonderful opportunities for puppies to learn that these everyday situations are nothing to worry about." - Viktoria
